FIRST RESOLVED IMAGE · THE VAULT AT THE CENTER · FIFTEEN BODIES IN STABLE ORBIT

Obsidianverse

Fourteen plugins and a theme, bound to one gravity well — an operating layer for thinking in Obsidian, observed in thermal false color.

FIG. 0 — THE WELL. SHADOW ⌀ 2.6 rs · DOPPLER-BEAMED DISK · BODIES TO SCALE OF ATTENTION, NOT DISTANCE. SURVEYED BY MARIOMILE.

Why anything orbits here

The gravity is a method, not a metaphor.

This vault isn't an archive of notes. It's a brain: a folder of plain markdown files that captures raw signal, turns it into memory, and hands back documents you can trust, with an agent working inside it, not bolted on.

Capture

A daily note, a clipped link, a line from a meeting.

Ingest

An agent reads it, tags it, links it to what’s already there.

Memory

Rules, decisions, learnings. Plain files, not a database.

Recall

The agent checks memory before it answers.

Documents

A PRD, a decision record, a brief you can trust.

↺ WHAT'S LEARNED GOES BACK INTO MEMORY. THE LOOP CLOSES.

The brain is structured, not a pile: four folders (Active, Atlas, Resources, Journal) instead of hierarchy by guesswork, and a memory layer the agent reads before it ever answers. How the loop works, and how the agent works inside the vault, is its own page;the full structure, and a vault you can clone, is another.

The fifteen bodies below are the instruments that make each stage effortless inside Obsidian itself. Use any one on its own, or run the whole set.

Primary bodies

Five instruments, and the frame they're observed in.

Sonar

An omni-bar for search, commands, capture, and Exo intents.

A fast, relevance-first omni-bar for Obsidian: one ping and the right thing surfaces. Search is still the core (a from-scratch BM25F engine that ranks better than Omnisearch, with a drop-in HTTP API), now one of four modes alongside command, capture, and handing an intent to Exo.

Cosmos

A native-feeling home for the whole verse.

A theme on two independent axes: flavour — the workspace layout, six of them, from a clean standard to a full glass treatment — and palette, the colour and surface treatment, six more, darker and lighter. The two are orthogonal: pick one of each and the whole suite settles into the same frame. Curated down to the choices worth making, not every knob.

Observer's notes

Orbiting body — an installable plugin. Flagships carry a resolution ring.
The Cosmos theme — outermost body: the reference frame the others are observed in.
Photon ring — light bent clean around the vault. Everything here orbits one thing.
Handheld band — how the body resolves on a phone. Hot (MOBILE ✓) = touch-tuned; cool (MOBILE ~) = runs, not yet touch-tuned; dim (DESKTOP) = desktop-only runtime.

This is a real system: one person's Obsidian vault, massive enough to bend every tool built near it into orbit. Five shells — intelligence, views & time, writing, planning, foundation — each body surveyed as part of a single gravitationally bound whole.

Every body is open source. Approach via BRAT: add mariomile/<repo> as a beta plugin, enable, done. Each body's observation log carries its full approach vector.
